TRAFFIC ADVISORY: New Traffic Signal Preparation on Highway 66 (2)

The City of Sevierville is issuing a traffic advisory for the area near the intersection of Winfield Dunn Parkway (Highway 66) and Knife Works Lane (at Smoky Mountain Knife Works).

Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4, the northbound and southbound left travel lanes will be closed as follows:

Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.;
Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
There will be no evening/overnight or weekend lane closures.

The lane closures are necessary to allow for construction of turn lanes for a new traffic signal installation project.

Short delays are possible during heavy traffic periods. Weather and other conditions permitting, this phase of the project should be complete in about one month.
